10:15 - 11:30 a.m. Why Is My Baby Fussy? - Common causes of fussiness in breastfed babies will be described, including oversupply and food allergy. Common allergens and related symptoms will be reviewed, as well as strategies for treatment. (L-Cerp 1.25) ~ Dr. Kathryn Leeper

1:15 - 2:30 p.m. New Methods of Increasing Milk Production - An exploration of newly discovered methods for increasing milk production, encompassing new pumping, galactagogue, and management strategies. (L-CERP 1.25) ~ Diana West
3:30 - 4:45 p.m. Why Can’t My Baby Breastfeed Well? Poor Milk Removal: Causes and Solutions - Common causes of poor milk removal in breastfed babies will be described, including
shallow latch, nipple shield use and tongue-tie. Suggested treatments, including frenotomy, will be described. Methods of supplementation when necessary will also be reviewed. (L-CERP 1.25) ~ Dr. Kathryn Leeper

Continuing Education Recognition Points (CERPs) for lactation consultants have been applied for from La Leche League International Eastern United States through a providership with the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners. The CERP fee is $20 (not included in your registration fee) and includes a syllabus with information from CERP sessions presented during the conference.
Children, regardless of age, are allowed to accompany their parents to CERP sessions at Area Conferences. CERP speakers and attendees should be aware and accepting of the fact that first-time parents and older children may attend these sessions. Please be respectful of the needs of all attendees and quietly respectful to the speaker who is presenting.
